Four gyros are planning a Saturday morning departure from T74 Taylor, Texas to Air Venture 2019 – Oshkosh, WI. Mike and Cyndi Baker will lead the way in their new Magni M16, powered by Rotax 915. James Ketchell from UK will be flying his long range Magni M16, as he continues his record setting round the world adventure. BoBo and Jeanette from Cedar Park, Texas will join Dayton Dabbs and world record pilot, John Craparo for the early morning departure from T74.

Getting Ready

GyroTrip FLASHBACK – 3 years ago – Alamo Springs Cafe – Fredericksburg, Texas

0800 HRS – FT. HAMPTON KS – COL. BAKER inspects the troops.

 

Somehow, a 4:00 AM departure turned in to an 8:00 takeoff. They’re on their way to meet up with the rest of the group at their first fuel stop.

 

 

M24, M16 and American Ranger taxiing out for Rnwy 17 – T74.

Dayton and John are #1 for take off.

 

Round the World gyro pilot, James Ketchell, is #2 in his Magni M16.

Russ is #3 in his red American Ranger.
