Taylor, TX to San Antonio (Mama’s Cafe)
October 31, 2015 — November 3, 2015
Forecast calls for mostly clear and about 80 degrees on Saturday, so it should be a good day to fly down to San Antonio for lunch at Mama’s Cafe. Mama’s is only a mile or so from San Antonio Intl Airport, so it will be worth paying the landing fee for the convenience of being close to the cafe. Right now, looks like Kathy, Dayton and maybe even Rob and John are onboard. Planning to dpt Taylor at 11:00 A.M. – We’ll see how it comes together.

12:50 – arrived KSAT (San Antonio Intl) at Million Air FBO (great hospitality)
1:30 – arrived Mama’s Cafe on Nacogdoches for lunch – CFS, meatloaf, catfish, BBQ ribs and fresh vegetables – good stuff!
2:45 – returned to Million Air FBO to give two of their Halloween hostesses a photo-op in the Gyros.
3:00 – departed KSAT for return flight to Taylor, including photo pass over Texas State Capitol in Austin.
4:30 – landed at Taylor at Lone Star Magni Hangar E9 where Christie opened the hangar doors to a surprise birthday party for Rob.
Scott, Kathy, BobbyD, Dayton, Chandler, Kelly, John, Christie and Rob had a big time recapping the day and eating the custom two-tier birthday cake that Christie created, complete with a gyro and runway on top.
That was one of the best 1-day trips we’ve had. Thanks for following.
