According to the Spot Tracker, they have stopped in Davenport IA for the night. Davenport is about 80 miles east of Chicago and home to legendary Jazz Man Bix Biederbecke, That only leaves 100+ miles to Oshkosh. A major storm moved through Oshkosh today and there was extensive damage to aircraft and facilities at the airport, just 1 day before opening day of AIR VENTURE. I'm not sure how this will affect the show.

About 4:30 PM - Just received text from Dayton that they made it to OSHKOSH safely. He says Oshkosh weather this afternoon feels like Fall Football weather in Texas. In a few days, he and John will turn over the pilot controls to Scott Thomas and his son Sean to fly the gyro back to Texas. Stay in touch to track their return trip.
