Kathy and I are planning to fly down to Gonzales to the annual Come and Take it Festival today. We’ll try to get a couple of PIX from the air of the crowd and vendors in the downtown courthouse square. It’s a great day for flying. We plan to leave around 11:00 AM. ENJOY THE JOURNEY!

The trip from Taylor to Gonzales is almost a perfect North-South heading. The landmarks are hwy 290 in Elgin, hwy 71 in Bastrop, and Interstate 10 about eight miles north of Gonzales. We circled the city of Gonzales, along with an R44 that was giving rides. And we met a nice couple (the Whitts) at the festival who gave us a ride back to the airport. We didn't get the PIX that we would have liked, but we'll make up for it next week on the Alpine trip. It was a great day. Thanks for following.

Sorry, Forgot to charge my camera batteries! :( No pictures.....But a GREAT trip! Made new friends, John and Martha Jo Whitt, who graciously took us back to the airport and sent us back to Taylor with a Smile!!!
